We support both background and in-app tag reading.

• Background reading: Please unlock your phone and tap the product in the middle. If nothing shows up, slightly and slowly move the phone around until it catches the signal. Then, a banner should appear on your screen.
• In-app reading: Please navigate to Devices tab within our app and click “Set up a new device” button.

Notes:

• To scan Loop products, an iOS device must simply be within close proximity of the tag.
• For Apple devices, NFC antenna is normally on the back and in the upper right corner.
• For Android devices, the antenna is normally on the back and in or near the middle. Some Android devices come with NFC turned off by default, please check the phone settings to ensure NFC functionality is turned on.

• Background reading isn’t available when an NFC scanning sheet is visible, Wallet or Apple Pay are in use, cameras are in use, the device is in Airplane Mode, and the device is locked after a restart.
